Reader’s Workshop- We started reading groups again! This time, we are in the same group: The Girl That Could Fly. Of course, we aren’t the only ones in this group (These are the other people in our group: Cali, Kathryn, Ally, & Emily). While all the other groups found the perfect book, we were still searching for it. We came on bended knee to Mrs. Geldnich, who was glad to help in the treacherous task of finding a book that was interesting, and something that none of us had read. It took another day, however before the books were in our hands, for Mrs. Geldnich only had one copy, and the rest were located in P.L.E.
Social Studies (S.S) - In social studies we have concluded the Ancient China unit. Yet before saying good bye, we wrapped up the unit with a big bang. Our class took a turn, choosing and learning adjectives in Chinese. We were filled with knowledge, pronunciation, and symbols. Annika chose the words Crazy, and Fanatical while Janie taught the class.
Math (a.k.a Mental Abuse To Humans) - Recently we have been given, in ALEKS, a new report card. This is the final change of conferencing reports, and they will be carried with us throughout middle school and high school. The report is on Google Docs, and will be the final change of conferencing reports. Exponential 24 is now the new type of 24, a game that most of us play about half way through the class. Exponential 24 has us squaring, cubing, finding square roots, and finding cube roots.
Science – We have been extremely crafty in this class, inventing toys, alien repelling hats, and mixing up mysterious concoctions. We were partners in the alien repelling hat business, and our alien hat was quite the success. Covered in aluminum foil, pencils, and elastics, we topped it off with our amazing colored paperclips.
