Review of October By: Greg

-Math -In Mrs. Fulfer’s and Mr. Seyfert’s math class we recently did a project. You had an option of three different projects. There was a fish tank project, a lunch program project, and a flower garden project. I choose the fish tank. We had to find out dimensions of the fish tank. We also needed to buy necessities of a fish tank, fish, and accessories for our fish tank without going over the budget of $200

-Social Studies –In social studies we are learning about Mesopotamia. It is in south western Asia. It is in a land area called the Fertile Crescent. It’s called the Fertile Crescent because of the fertile soil, and it is in a crescent shape. We compared the two rivers in Mesopotamia, the Tigris and Euphrates Rivers, to the one in Egypt, the Nile. They had a lot of similarities and differences.

-Science –In Science we were learning about biomes. We had to do a project about them. I did mine on the Taiga. Biomes are different types of environments. What makes the biomes different are the biotic and abiotic factors The Taiga is the largest biome in the world. It is also very cold in the taiga. The word taiga is Russian for cold forest.

-Language Arts –In reading class we get to read for 20 – 30 minutes. After we’re done reading we have to fill out a response log. So far we’ve only done three. One of them was character flaw. A character flaw is something wrong with the character. Another one that I don’t remember the name of is pretty much figuring out who the bad guy is. The last one was deciding if your main character is realistic or not.
