6th Grade Highlights By: Cali and Maggie (aka Pemble and Rose McButton from the Real NOT Housewives of Great Britain)

Highlights from LA- We’ve never been to LA….but you know our web show will get us there soon enough. But, if you are talking about Language Arts well then we can help you with that. In reading we read books, read papers and listened to Mrs. Fulfer read “I’d tell you I Love but Then I’d have to Kill You”. In writing we did our DWA’s where we had to write about either about a lion hunting men or a kid’s first day at school. In science we studied volcanoes and mountains. While studying volcanoes we, along with everyone else in our class, had to create our own volcano. Now I know what you’re thinking: “Ohhh a volcano, that’s sounds hard!” And yes it was… very hard. We did not just have to create a volcano this volcano had erupt, but we could not just use vinegar and baking soda, we had to find other ways to make this volcano erupt. We searched on the World Wide Internet for alternative ways to make this volcano explode….. We ended up using baking soda, lemon juice, red dye, and dish soap. And we got a hundred! In social studies we were studying Medieval Europe. Then we had our Medieval Faire. Cali had to chase little kids and give them passports. When they said “no” we followed them until they took it. Maggie had to help Cali in the first half hour and then Cali left so I had to pass out passports to about four different classrooms. But anyway after that I was selling bracelets, mask, and ring-pops, last half hour I was a face painter, but they were full, so Mrs. Fulfer said I could just walk around, so altogether it was a pretty good medieval faire. IN math for ALEKS we had to have some kids finish up pre-algebra. I finished though, so I was ok. Anyways, we had a game day where we all played computer games. But, I had to get my braces off, so I missed it. In expressions math we are starting pre-algebra so we finished up starting; I guess, but for the last week of school we have been playing math related games and then we had a packet to get us ready for next year’s math, but today (Thursday) is our last day of math….. We have 3 highlights: 1) The creation of the Quadricorn Tacos Original Founders Club. Or the QTOFC, you pronounce it as “Quatoafic.” This includes Maggie, Cali, and Emily. 2) The creation of the Real Not Housewives of Great Britain web show which is founded by Maggie, Cali, and Emily. Annika has also been accepted into. We plan to air in the end of June. 3) All of our field trips. Our favorites include: The Museum of Science and Industry, Row Boat and Restoration, The Alvin Ailey 2 Dance Company, and Bowling A special note from the Real Not Housewives of Great Britain: Pemble McButton (Cali) - Oh my god, did you see Jasmine’s hair? It was definitely bottom notch. Have a top notch summer!!! Rose (Maggie) – Have a Splendid summer and remember to always love your right thumb, not your left thumb I mean it’s just backwards. Well I’m off for tea Pip – Pip Cherrio. Jasmine (Emily) - Pemble can’t talk about hair, because her’s is absolutely horrid. It’s probably not even real. Have a brilliant summer. Elizabeth (Annika) – If toothpicks could fly, then they could rule the world, and life would be so much better… Have a wonderful summer, filled with blue toothpicks, not green.
