Highlights from 6th Grade By: JB
In Language Arts we got to make a claymation in Reader’s Workshop. In Writer’s Workshop we made a book that got published like in a hard cover.
In science we made a rap that was funny. We also made a volcano and got to explode it one day. Another fun thing was making the presentations like the biomes and the types of boundaries. Another fun thing was going to Chicago and seeing The Science and Industry museum and seeing an omnimax show named Tornado Valley.
In social studies we made a forum bath for Ancient Greece that was really cool. We also made a game board for Ancient Egypt. I also liked the map we made of a town in Ancient India.
In math I liked the casino project we just did where you get fake money and try to win money from games. I also liked all the things we learned that I didn’t know. Last I liked how I was challenged all the time.
My best memory was the rowboat trip, were we restored a part of the path along the Pewaukee River in the morning. Then in the afternoon we got to row in a rowboat down the river, and there was this part was you had to lie in the boat. I didn’t row much because the other person in my boat liked to row it.
I will miss having a good teacher unlike 5th grade were me would take 2 and a half hours on math, one hour to correct homework other part for lesson. I will also miss not have a recess anymore.
