6th Grade Highlights By: Matt & Noah

Science: in science we learned about earth. We learned about the earth’s layers and the tectonic plates. We learned about volcanoes and earthquakes. We built our own volcanoes and a model building to face an earthquake. It was really fun building and learning about this stuff. Social studies: we just learned about medieval ages. We had a guy come in and teach us about knights, weapons, and kingdoms. We even had a medieval faire it was awesome we made crowns, shields and whole bunch of other medieval stuff to sell. It has been really fun learning about medieval times. Languages Arts: in language arts we created a Greek god and wrote a story about him or her. The story actually ended up being pretty good there was a lot to write about too because we could us our imagination. We also just finished our spring DWA that wasn’t very fun but it’s something we have to do. Matt and I both improved a lot. Math: Math is coming to an end so our teacher let us do something fun for a change. We split the class in to groups and pairs and each group made a game we called it the casino project. We each got 10 dollars to our self and 10 to our game. We gambled on other people’s games and the people that got the most amount of money won matt is still working on it but I ended up getting in 2nd place in my math class. It was a lot of fun.
